HOA UPDATES 2025

The Board voted to approve a 10-day grace period for payment of dues.  This will extend the payment due date to April 15 before fees are applied. 

Dues are payable to EZR.

RE: 2023 Special Assessment of $100.00

 

Dear BVL Association Member:
 

The 2025 dues have increased to $225.00 and are due on 1/1/2025 and delinquent after 3/31/2025.
However, based upon Association attorney’s review of our By-Laws and subdivision covenants and
restrictions and advice to the Board, it has been determined that the $100.00 Special Assessment
voted at the 2023 Annual Meeting (billed out in June 2024), did not have the required number of votes
to pass.

 

Therefore, to remedy this situation:
 

a. If you DID pay the $100.00 Special Assessment, the payment will be credited
toward your account for 2025 dues.

 

b. If you DID NOT pay the $100.00 Special Assessment, you will not receive a credit.
 

We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this matter may have caused and look forward to a
bright and prosperous 2025 in Buena Vista Lakes.

Here are the results of the annual meeting held Oct 14, 2024

Budget:  $50 Dues increase (passed - 36 NAY to 102 YAY) - now $225 per year

Orange Book Bylaw Revisions, all passed 15 NAY to 124 YAY:

 - Reduced Board Members from 13 to 9 (passed - 15 NAY to 124 YAY)

 - Clarified Assessment & Special Assessment Voting Procedures (passed - 15 NAY to 124 YAY)

 - Revised Rental Bylaw (passed - 15 NAY to 124 YAY)

Monthly Board Meeting

Monthly board meetings are held the first Monday of each month.  Meetings that fall on a holiday (or event) will move to the second Monday of the month. Meetings begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. All paid up homeowners are encouraged to attend.

 

ID Wristbands

Only BVL homeowners in good standing may receive ID Bands. Prior to receiving ID Bands, dues & assessments must be paid in full along with the completion and return of the "Proof of Residency Form" & "Evacuation Questionnaire."  

ID Bands must be displayed at all times when accessing BVL amenities, such as fishing, boating, swimming, or using the ball field. When boating and fishing on BVL common property, place a current ID Band on the dash of the parked vehicle.  Any guest without ALL of the proper credentials can be trespassed per the Feb 2012 amendment to the Standing Rules which mandates "A written permission letter signed and dated by the lot owner naming the guest(s) shall be in the guest(s) possession when using the common areas."  The permission letter is a required credential for unaccompanied guests.

Dues Notice

The 2025 annual dues and assessments for Buena Vista Lakes are $225.00 per lot per calendar year. Annual dues & assessments are due & payable on January 1 & are delinquent on April 1. A late charge of 6% per annum per lot accrues on April 1, and a monthly servicing fee of $10 per lot, accruing to include the grace period, until the account is paid in full.

Additional HOA dues & assessment fees apply for rental properties.
